Why you should join MFTA

If you own, operate, or plan to own a mobile food business in North Texas, supporting your economic interests—and those of fellow food vendors—begins by becoming a member of the Metroplex Food Truck Association (MFTA). We’ve worked tirelessly to improve policies that directly impact the daily operations of food truck owners. 


Without your participation, our association wouldn’t be  effective or strong. We are a dedicated member service organization focused on protecting, promoting, and growing the mobile food industry in North Texas. 


As our membership grows, so does our influence. Together, we are more than just an industry—we are a community. By joining MFTA, you’ll be part of the only organization in North Texas exclusively advocating for the mobile food sector.

Government Relations

 We are fully committed  to work  on behalf of our members, tracking legislation and helping us shape laws that impact food trucks. Grassroots efforts have led to successful policy changes in favor of food trucks. Members stay informed about changes in health and fire codes, as well as Labor & Industries updates, with real-time notifications.

Special Events for Members

MFTA members gain access to exclusive opportunities to participate in high-profile events such as local festivals, corporate gatherings, and more. We also provide guidance to event planners and vendors on how to successfully navigate large events. MFTA does not support or promote events with excessively high vendor fees or unreasonable requirements, ensuring fairness in every opportunity.

How to Join MFTA

 Membership is open to current and aspiring mobile food vendors, including those with food carts, trailers, or trucks. Please note that some vending units, like tent and table setups or small carts, may not be eligible for all events depending on the event host’s requirements. Membership dues are $200 per year, plus a $25 application fee for new members. Your membership starts the day your application is approved and is valid for 12 months.
